Testimonials

To whom it may concern,

As President of the Southern Jewish Historical Society, it has been my pleasure and privilege to work with Cheryl Melnick on the initial Website for our organization, during this year.   Speaking not just for myself but for the other officers as well. We consider ourselves to have been fortunate to have Ms. Melnick’s contribution.   She is bright, energetic, timely, and careful of resources.   She has displayed several qualities well beyond the expected for a Webmaster.   For one, Ms. Melnick has proven to be a patient and attentive listener.   She heard us when we said that we wanted our site to attract new members.   So many times she would suggest, “there are several approaches possible, but if you want to aim for the most new members, here is one suggestion…” Further, Ms. Melnick has shown herself to be a teacher, devoid of condescension.   That is, for several of our members with less experience on the world of Information Technologies, she has led us with encouragement up the learned curve.   She has shown with both insight and experience how to attract the Web audience that we want.   She has explained the terminology, and even the psychology of maximizing Web “hits” and proper links.

I cannot write this referral letter on our Webmaster, without including one telling example of her inestimable value to us all.   Our Society was trying to fund a membership banner.   Though our Website was not even fully up at that time, Ms. Melnick was able to search cyberspace for us, and find a benefactor through the Internet willing to donate to our project to the tune of several thousand dollars.

Again, on behalf of the Southern Jewish Historical Society, without reserve I recommend the Website work of Cheryl Melnick.   If you really need to proof of her expertise, look up our site at www.jewishsouth.org. There you will find a site she completely created and designed.   Ms. Melnick developed the graphics, registered the domain, and even actually suggested the very name itself.   We went from no Web site presence, to a site we proudly hope all will visit.   This work in a sense is Cheryl Melnick’s portfolio; we in the Jewish South are the better for her input.

Cheryl Melnick of Sessionware has put together a comprehensive website for the Southern Jewish Historical Society. In doing so, she has been able to please an organization which has 10 heads and 15 opinions in 5 states. From my point of view as incoming president, Cheryl has given me a new view of the Southern Jewish Historical Society, from many different perspective: the casual member, the scholar, the traveler, and the researcher, as well as the veteran conference attendant. Cheryl is both smart and patient, something a web surfer like me can appreciate.   I recommend her and her services highly.
