Company History

The Past

From 1987 to 1992, Sessionware developed and sold Microsoft Windows based LAN utilities. Our customers were Fortune 1000 companies running LAN Manager based networks. In addition we also provided Microsoft Windows software development services.

In 1992, Sessionware moved from custom software development to Enterprise-wide network design, installation and consulting for large organizations and at the same time became one of the first Microsoft Solutions Providers in Northern California.

With extensive BackOffice experience specific to Microsoft's SMS and Exchange Server, Sessionware had become a resource for clients and partners, including Microsoft Consulting Services. Our passion to build custom tools to automate technology deployments set us apart from other providers. We provided the experience and the tools that allowed us to deliver better migration solutions in a fraction of the time normally required. The primary tools and methodology were integrated into a product we call the Migration Accelerator which allowed our customers to perform complex migrations for thousands of users with far less risk, a fraction of the staff, and without a length ramp up time.

The Present

When RIM approached us four years ago to evaluate the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server, we jumped on the wireless bandwagon. With tight integration into corporate e-mail systems, we see BlackBerry as a huge boost to work force productivity. Sessionware has helped over 150 organizations deploy BlackBerry. The BlackBerry solutions now include voice as well as data solutions and we are excited to be shipping the RIM BlackBerry 6710 not only combines a PDA, wireless e-mail and a cell phone into a single device.

The latest BlackBerry Enterprise Server has huge advances in IT administration capabilities as well as opportunity for applications connectivity. We are currently helping our customers deploy and upgrade to this new technology.
